Are you looking for a fun and safe summer activity for your child(ren)? We would love to invite your child(ren) to join us for our “Power Lab-Discovering Jesus’ miraculous power!“ Vacation Bible School! This is a week-long program that will be from June 23rd- to June 27th. It is from 9:00 in the morning to 12:15. It is for any child ages 4 years old to 5th grade.
From the time your child walks into the church, they will have a fun-packed schedule of activities and learning about God. The children will make crafts, sing songs, do outdoor games, have a snack, have a bible story acted out for them, and watch a fun video. All of these activities center around one theme- that Jesus’ is powerful! All parts of the program are well supervised and organized to make sure that all children are safe and well cared for. The children who register for VBS will be put in groups of five kids. These five kids will have an adult leader with them called a “crew leader”. The crew leader will stay with the kids throughout the activities and help them as needed. Each station has two adults who will teach and supervise the children also.
On June 27th we will have a party to celebrate the end of a great week. First, we will have cake, and then the children will perform some of the songs they’ve learned and share about their week. Family members are welcome and invited to come to the party on June 27th.
If you are interested in signing your child(ren) up for Vacation Bible School, please contact Kristal, Melanie, Shannon, or Tracy at the church office. The church number is 379-1936. Registration begins on May 18th. The program is free. There are tapes, CD’s and T-shirts for sale. We offer scholarships for these items if you need help purchasing them. Also, we can provide transportation to and from the church throughout the week if needed. All children must be registered by June 8th. Don’t miss out on this exciting week!
Because of limited spaces, we will register kids according to the following order: Regular attendees of Grace Community Church and members of the Glenwood community, guests of the above, members of other churches or communities who wish to participate.
