Grace First Touch Ministry
At Grace we have the opportunity every week to welcome new people and help folks find seats and enter into worship. We have the opportunity to teach children about our Savior and Creator. And we have the opportunity to fellowship together and meet together in small groups.
We have these opportunities but they do not happen without the involvement and help of many, many people at Grace. On any given week, more than one hundred adults are needed to lead worship, teach children, lead adult education classes and greet people. These are not paid professionals, they are volunteers that give a little bit of time so everyone can enter into the presence of our Lord and Savior.
One of these volunteer opportunities is being a part of the First Touch Ministry. What is the First Touch Ministry? First Touch folks are those that have the opportunity to be the first point of contact for new and regular attenders at Grace on a Sunday morning. They greet people, hand out bulletins, help newcomers register their children and find their child’s classroom and help people find seats in the sanctuary.
If you are already serving on Sunday mornings in some way, thank you. If you are not involved in any of the Sunday morning ministries, would you pray about how you might give back a portion of what you receive each week from the ministry at Grace? The First Touch Ministry is a great way to get plugged in. It does not require you be naturally extroverted, just willing to welcome people and help if they need help. Most ministries on Sunday morning only ask for one service, once a month. The time commitments are not large but the rewards can be everlasting. You may never know how the Lord used your gift to make a difference in someone’s life. Contact Hank Mangum if you would like more information.
Thanks for seeking the Lord with us,
