Dear Brothers and Sisters,

Are you hearing anything?! In the first part of John 8:47, Jesus made the claim, “He who belongs to God hears what God says.” If you were at Grace this past Sunday, you know that I began a two-part series on Hearing From God…Really! Part one last week focused on how we hear from God. I recognize that for many of you, this is not new; you have had a conversational and intimate relationship with God for some time. For others of us, this is new territory. You might have given up on hearing from God or actually concluded that all we can expect is learning principles from the Bible and trying to apply them.

That is good, but there is far more. We have a God who wants a real relationship with us in which He wants to speak individually and personally to us about our specific situations and relationships. Perhaps you are reading this right now and feeling frustrated that you have tried to hear this week and are getting nothing.
