Agents of Grace 2008
Are you looking for a way to connect, grow, serve and share with Grace Community Church and other Christian organizations around Greensboro? Then mark your calendars for 8:00 a.m. Saturday morning on August 23rd, at Grimsley High School with Agents of Grace!
What is Agents of Grace?
It’s a non-profit organization where volunteers from different churches and other Christian organizations rally for community service around Greensboro for the purpose of glorifying Christ. More info on Agents of Grace can be found here.
What types of community service are being done?
Home improvement, landscaping/beautification, visiting shut-ins, washing cars, clerical tasks and more. There’s too much to list, but there really is a way for everyone to serve Christ through Agents of Grace.
Who can volunteer?
Everyone who is willing — this includes everyone from children to elderly with disabilities. You may volunteer as a family, individual, small group or Acts 2:42 Group. Just list your preferences and special needs when you sign up.
When does the Agents of Grace event end?
Most sites shut down around lunch time. And everyone will meet back at Grimsley for lunch donated by Chick-fil-a. (That’s right, free food to volunteers!)
How and when do I sign up to volunteer?
Sign up in the hallway at Grace (where the VBS info table was a few weeks ago) after the 9:25 a.m. or 11:00 a.m. services on August 3rd or August 10th. Let Agents of Grace help you help others on August 23rd! (Or at least stop by the sign-up table for a free crossword puzzle!)
Please prayerfully consider one more thing: Agents of Grace also needs site leaders. If you’re a small group leader, an Acts 2:42 group leader, youth group leader, or if you’re handy with power tools, you would be tremendously valuable to AOG as a site leader. More information on site leader roles and responsibilities can be found at the sign-up table.
