VBS Is Two Weeks Away — Volunteers Needed!
You may think, “I don’t have kids, how does this apply to me?” Vacation Bible School at Grace is an incredible week and is always a top notch event. VBS is a huge undertaking - we need the entire body’s help to make it great. Even if you don’t have elementary age children of your own, the Lord can use you to make a difference in the life of many children.
VBS is a little more than two weeks away! There is still much to be done to prepare for this program. Please take a look below to see how you can help. Also, this Sunday, June 10th and next Sunday, June 17th are the last days to register kids for VBS. Please see Melanie at the VBS table in the main hallway to register your children. Thank you!
WE NEED:
- Crew Leaders: We only have 15 volunteers signed up out of 40 needed. (8:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. each day)
- Child Care Volunteers: We offer childcare for the infants and young children of volunteers. We need people to work in the infant room and toddler room to take care of these little ones. (8:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. each day)
- Drivers: We need people to volunteer to pick up children from the Glenwood community, bring them to the church each day for VBS and take them home after VBS each day.
- Scholarships: $20.00 covers the cost of one child.
- Floating Helpers: We need several floating helpers to jump in wherever a need arises. (Any day you are available from 8:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.)
- Security People: We people to walk around the church building and campus making sure that our kids are safe. (Any day you are available from 8:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.)
We also need several people willing to help behind the scenes to buy gifts, help with the Friday night dessert, cut fruit, help prepare snack, etc. Please see Melanie at the VBS table to discuss the specifics and time requirements.
